Born in Lancaster Pennsylvania , Vin Lamar has been writing and performing music for over 30 years. Vin began writing songs in high school and when attending college in Kansas he produced two albums of original work.  After graduation he located to Sarasota where he formed the band “Ridin’ High”.  Shortly thereafter he was offered a job at a resort in Ohio where he played in a country trio called the “Buck Nelson Band”.

Vin fronted the alternative rock band "Stryker" in Sarasota, FL from 1992 through 2000 and was renowned for his “Talking Heads” set and his passion on stage. The band released an original CD in 1995 with lyrics and melody lines written by Vin.    

Focusing the last several years on his  recording career, Vin Lamar has released 5 singles with the help of producer Neal James that have charted in the top 50 of New Music Weekly’s Indie chart in ’07, and ’08 and has received radio airplay around the world.

Vin is an intense performer who can reach listeners in an engaging and charismatic way. He has dedicated himself to writing songs as a way of processing life’s changes.  Music has always been the way he releases pent up emotional energy and because of this he connects with a lot of people through his original works. Vin performs his music on piano and acoustic guitar.
